LateLine

I stopped by Best Buy this afternoon before work to see what new DVDs had come out, and saw on the shelf the DVD collection of LateLine, Al Franken’s sitcom about a late night television news program. Like most viewers, I saw not a single episode of the show when it was originally broadcast.
I bought it anyway.
I’ve watched the first four episodes. The show is downright hilarious. It’s a pity LateLine didn’t find an audience back in 1998. It’s like Murphy Brown, but without the shrillness. It’s got a great cast, and the writing is sharp.
I wish I’d caught LateLine the first time around.
